Onam Celebration 2026–2027 The festival of Onam was celebrated on 19th and 20th August 2026 at the Play School of M.E.S. Central School, Tirur. A special assembly was conducted in the auditorium by the Pre-Primary children. The children came to school dressed in colourful traditional attire. They were very happy and excited to celebrate Onam with their friends and teachers. The children brought beautiful flowers from their homes. With the help of their teachers, they arranged the flowers and created a beautiful Pookkalam in the classroom. They enjoyed selecting and arranging the flowers. As part of the celebration, the children were given an Onam activity sheet. They coloured the flower carpet and decorated it using crushed paper. They also participated in fun games and activities, including Musical Chairs, which they enjoyed with their friends. A traditional Onam Sadhya and delicious Palada Payasam were served to the children. They enjoyed the delicious food very much. The celebration was colourful, joyful, and filled with fun and happiness. The children participated enthusiastically in all the activities and enjoyed a wonderful time with their friends and teachers. It was a memorable Onam celebration for everyone
